年金是指在服用者的余生中，按一定的频率向服用者支付的固定金额。
年金在订阅者选择的特定时期内，以特定的比率提供定期收入(可以是每月、每季度、每年等)。这意味着人们可以将钱支付给年金服务提供商(ASP)，并选择年金选项，以确保退休后有固定的收入。
在NPS中，订阅者必须使用至少40%的语料库来购买年金。在NPS的主体中，60%可在退休后一次性提取，其余40%可投资于认购人选择的任何年金计划，并以养老金的方式返还给认购人。如果在60岁(或退休前)之前过早退出，NPS订阅者将不得不投资80%的资金来获得年金计划。虽然所有投资金额和NPS投资的资本收益在提取时都是免税的，但作为养老金支付的金额将被添加到您的收入中，并根据适用于您的所得税等级征税。

你投资年金的金额取决于你想要的年金类型和你想达到的目标
有五种年金计划可供投资。
终身入息-向订户发放年金，订户去世后，年金终止。
生命&最后的幸存者100%收入 -向订户发放年金及在订户去世后，向配偶发放年金;在配偶去世后，年金终止
终身收入与资本退款 -年金支付给认购人，认购人去世后，本金支付给指定人/法定继承人。

2. 在退休时，你可以在任何地方投资你的语料库的40%到100%在年金上。你必须在退休后的即时现金流需求和更高的养老金需求之间取得平衡。你在年金上投资的金额越高，你得到的退休金就越高。
3.你想选择哪种计划-这将取决于你的家庭成员对你的养老金数额的依赖程度。正如你从表格中看到的，退休金金额随你的选择而减少，在你去世时给你配偶的退休金，或将本金返还给你的被提名人。如果你的配偶和家庭成员在经济上不依赖你，你可以选择终身收入计划。
4. 还要记住，你必须在退休后20-30年以上与ASP打交道，通过向他们提供生活证明文件的方式。这也包括你的身体活动受限的时期。因此，选择一个能够为您提供技术以满足任何文档需求的ASP。
